Randy B I chose this for my elderly Mothers Condo. She didn't have the option of going with a gas fireplace, but wanted the realistic flames and also a very easy installation with options. So she chose the Astound 50" Flexmount. We could have gone a little bigger, because they have several sizes, but she had limited space on her wall. The very large viewing area is her favorite thing, plus that we did a dedicated electric line, so she has 10,000 btus of heat, which is remarkable. She chose to stay with the Beach Fire Logs and woodland media it comes with, but if she gets bored with it, there are other logs and media options for her to choose from. We love the Eco mode that uses less energy, such a great option. We chose a wall mounted version, but we could later mount it into the wall, as there are several ways to mount this model. She plays with her easy to use remote all the time, changing the color settings and heat levels. We are so happy with the choices we made with mom.

Nick The Astound 50 Flexmount was the perfect fit for me since I have a narrow room and did not want to build out the wall to fit the fireplace. I was able to wall mount the fireplace and still get the 3 sided open glass with minimal frame. I paired my tv above for the perfect look. I love the view height and the ability to make it fit in my tight space.
